“My name is Anthony Mitta, and I am excited to join Baseball Rebellion as an Infield and Hitting Instructor, bringing a passion for player development and a commitment to helping athletes reach their full potential. I am a firm believer that great development comes from building a strong foundation of fundamentals, creating confidence, and teaching players how to approach the game with purpose.
As a player, I am a Raleigh native that attended Leesville Road High School where I earned All-Conference and All-State honors and graduated in 2021. After Leesville I committed to play D1 baseball played at Campbell University for 2 years. Then transferring to the D2 ranks at the University of Mount Olive for the next two years. During my summer ball time, I played with the Holly Springs Salamanders in the Coastal Plain League where I would be named a CPL All Star Starter. I would ultimately transfer for my final year of college eligibility to Bowling Green State University in Ohio in the Mid-American Confrence to finish out my collegiate career as a now restricted free agent. At BGSU I was the team leader in numerous offensive categories such as batting average, hits, and total bases. and posting a .970 fielding percentage in the infield.
As an instructor, I will focus on developing fundamentally sound infielders and confident, disciplined hitters. My coaching philosophy emphasizes quality repetitions, attention to detail, baseball IQ, and creating an environment where athletes are challenged to improve while enjoying the game. I am especially passionate about helping young players understand that development is a process. I strive to meet each athlete where they are, identify areas for improvement, and provide individualized instruction designed to help them take the next step in their development.
